17 Goals to Transform Our World

The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.

Even though LibPalm Inc.  will be a small company, it is our ambition is to contribute to as many goals as possible to reach the respective goal also in our business environment. Those goals where we believe we will achieve them,we have put according to the topic.

 OUR PLAN

The plan is to set up a semi industrial production plant for organic palm oil . It will be a unique approach for a sustainable, green and fair production.

With our production we want to serve especially the local market with a biologically pure and healthy product. In all our activities, we pay special attention to the social and ethical responsibility that we have as entrepreneurs.
By establishing cooperatives, we are extending production benefits to over 200 families who can become partners in the cooperatives.

o   To improve the food security - no hunger due to the strengthening of the rural economy.
o   Provide training to farmers, workers and children.

o   Provide access to affordable and clean energy as a model.
o   To be integrated into the community and become an important employer in the region.
o   To promote for safe, resilient and sustainable human settlements.
o   To demonstrate the resilience of a small scale industry.
o   To produce organic palm oil in a sustainable and fair environment.

OUR PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY

It is our aim to achieve a large share of the value added in Liberia.
We will therefore have some equipment produced in the region as far as the technical equipment of the plants allows this and the corresponding materials can be obtained.
We use the high tech equipment from the crude oil stage onwards, from which the quality of the product is decisively influenced.
Nevertheless, we will try to reduce mechanization where it make sense in favour of manual labour as much as possible throughout the entire production chain in order to create jobs.

OUR PRODUCT

As we use the most modern processing machine we will produce a very pure and high quality oil. Our minimum standard is aimed according to the WFP Technical Specification Appendix 3. However, we would also like to meet the requirements of international food chains. Therefore, we pay great attention to be able to rely as soon as possible on a well-trained Quality Management team that will monitor the high standards by applying international audit standards of RSPO and others.
This technical equipment allows us also to respond to the tastes of our customers and to produce the desired product.

SALES

With the sale of our products we want to involve as many people as possible to create as many jobs as possible. We sell to NGO’s, wholesalers, smaller stores and on stands at local markets.

We hope to achieve sales success by distributing the oil through our sales vehicles, where we fill the oil into the customer's bottles, especially in order to avoid plastic waste.

OUR STANDARDS AND POLICY

Our responsible palm oil policy will need to cover the full range of companies and partners involved in the palm oil sector, including upstream partners (those involved in the production of crude palm oil) and downstream partners (those involved in the refining/ trading and use of palm oil products). E.g. market women, wholesalers, etc.
This agricultural standard establishes good practices for the oil palm production. It provides detailed guidance covering from field operation in the plantation to transportation of oil palm bunches to the collection center (ramp) or mill. It is important to increase production efficiency and to guarantee consistently outstanding quality.  The environmental impact and occupational health and safety of the workers are considered during the entire production process.
